How to choose a guide: what to ask before booking

  1. Style: does the guide fish bait, spinning/baitcasting or fly? Pick one who specialises in what you want to do.
  2. Boat and gear: what boat, how many anglers it takes, which engine (horsepower, bow electric motor)? Casting platform, fish finder? Is tackle provided?
  3. What is included: bait, meals, fuel, lodging, transfers. Get it in writing, with the price.
  4. Timing rules: the month decides the fishing. Ask what works on your dates, at what river level and water temperature.
  5. The place: where the lodging is, boat ramp, distance to the fishing areas and the overall setting.
  6. References: photos of recent trips and anglers who have been. If you can, talk to the owner or operator.

Frequently asked questions about fishing guides in Río Grande (Tierra del Fuego)

How much does a fishing guide cost in Río Grande (Tierra del Fuego)?

It depends on the boat, the length of the day and how many go: almost all charge per boat and per day, not per person. We publish only the rates the provider itself shows, with the date we read them; the guide confirms the final price for your dates.

What does a guided trip include?

Usually the boat, fuel and the guide; bait, tackle, meals and the licence vary. Each listing says what is included according to the provider; ask about anything not listed before booking.

Do I need a fishing licence to go out with a guide?

Yes: the licence is personal and the angler pays for it unless the trip includes it. The Río Grande (Tierra del Fuego) guide says which one you need, what it costs and where to get it.

How do I book a guide in Río Grande (Tierra del Fuego)?

Pick a listing and tap "Check availability", or fill in the form with your group and dates. We pass the inquiry to the provider and they reply with a proposal; no fee, no commitment.
