Who we are
Pescamapa (pescamapa.com) is a project of Cheyenne Justiniano and Alberto Ayala. It is a guide to fishing in Argentina: where to go, when, what the rules say and who to go with. For anything, write to [email protected].
The information is a guide
We build our guides and notes from sources we show, and we date them. Even so, regulations, closed seasons, permits, prices and water conditions change. Before you go, confirm with the provincial authority and with your guide.
We do not guarantee that the information is complete or up to date, and we are not responsible for decisions made only on what you read here.
Outfitters and trips
We show guides, lodges and other providers. Some appear with public information and are marked as unverified; others work with us.
When you ask for a trip or a quote, your request comes to Pescamapa and we pass it on to whoever you choose or we recommend. The service is provided and charged by the outfitter: Pescamapa is not a party to the contract between you and them, does not run the fishing trip and does not guarantee the service. Asking for a quote has no cost or commitment.
Commissions and paid links
Pescamapa charges a commission to the outfitters we work with when a trip goes ahead; you pay the same. We do not rank or feature by commission. Any paid or affiliate link is labelled as advertising.
Bite-zone reports
Reports are sent by anglers: they are unverified, shown with a delay and by zones of about 1,000 m, never by exact spot. They are a reference, not a promise of a bite nor a sign that a place is open to fishing.
By sending a report you allow us to show its zone, species, day and result, without your name. We may hide or delete any report.
Fish responsibly
Follow the regulations, sizes and limits, release what you must and look after the environment. Do not use the site to send spam, to enter false data or other people’s data, or to interfere with how it works.
Text and photos
Pescamapa’s text, organisation and own data are protected; you may quote them with a link to the source.
Every photo carries the name of whoever took it. Some are used with their author’s permission and others under free licences (for example Wikimedia Commons or Unsplash), with the credit in view. Photos may be cropped or resized to fit the site. Third-party names and brands belong to their owners.
Links to other sites
We link to official sources and to third-party sites. We do not control their content or policies.
Corrections and removals
If you are an outfitter or a person and you want us to correct or remove something we published, write to [email protected] and we will take care of it.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above says when we last did. They are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. To see how we look after your data, read the privacy policy.
